Congrats Kara!!
I want to say the second one is a Mack, because it just doesn't look like a normal, to me. You will know more as it grows. Any hidden hets?

Thank you and I though it looked like a mack. No hidden hets that I know of. The top to should just be 50% het patty. Mom is the patty but now dad is the mack snow. He as far as I know is not het for anything I know thats not very common. Thus far tho I have had nothing funky pop up. So as far as I know and from what i'v breed him with nothing so far. lol I just had the hatch mate to the circle back hatch to. It looks like the one in the center as well. They all have the same dad but there mother is another mack snow with some tangerine influence. She has a lot more yellow all most a light orange color to her. I can post pic's of parents if you would like me to.

Yep, I'd definitely say Mack. I keep throwing this link around, but these pale yellow babies are a known phenomenon that used to be called "Mack Pastel". It's a little confusing now that Ron Tremper has come out with his Pastel line... some folks just call them low-expression Mack Snows, but I personally don't like that term. :)

Ok see I had read that. That's why I was thinking it was a snow. I have two that look like that now from same father. The father dose have a lot of more pastel color to him. Lot of light yellow and white. He's such a pretty boy. lol

P1010335.jpg P1010346.jpg P1010352.jpg Here pic 1 is the other one that looks pastel. Pic 2 is a side by side of the two top is first one bottom is the new one. The new one is a lil more yellow. What do you think is this one pastel to? Pic 3 is just all 4 that hatched yesterday. So very cute.

Sometimes I've seen macks hatch with a tiny hint of yellow, but most are white and black. If it was me, I would label it as possible mack snow to be safe. That way it can be test bred by you or whoever buys it. Nice babies!

I'm new to all this and I don't understand all the terms for the different color morphs, but the yellow with the black and white looks spectacular. Also, does anyone no how to unthank someone? I meant to like the OP but I thanked him.

Welcome and thank you I'm glade you like them. Mack Snow is a type of snow. There are mack snow.TUG snow.gem snow.and line breed snows. Mack snows produce a super form when breed together called a super snow. The other snows do not produce a super form when breed together but if one of the other 3 are breed to a mack snow it will also produce a super form. You should never mix the snow genes tho you can not tell them apart. We were discussing the lil yellow one because most snows are born blk and white. Every now and than you get one with a yellow tint to it and its hard to tell that it's a snow. This is my first year breeding that's why i was asking for everyone to chime in. I hope I didn't blow your mind I just wanted you to understand what we were talking about. I know when I started learning genetics my head exploded more than a few times. lol

Sorry for the late reply. Obviously that post didn't make me understand everything, but it certainly got me started, thanks.

No prob and no one is expected to understand it the snap of there fingers. lol I'm still learning to. It helps when you start off learning about what you want or have. Than branch out and learn about other morphs. Me I have mack snows,trempers.patty.tang,snow tremper so I tend to be better with what I'm use to working with. You will get there just like every one else.
