The rule of thumb is to feed as much as they can eat in about a 30 minute span. If they eat everything before 30 minutes is up then add more. If there are left overs take them out so they do not stress the gecko while it sleeps. Leo's are known to over eat sometimes and they wind up vomiting. If this happens then the leo probably ate too much and try cutting back on the amount fed.

P.S. Vomiting may also occur if the temps are too low. Ground temps should be 85-92 degrees on the warm side.

they are and it appears he hasnt vomited so i think everything is fine

If you feed mealworms it is ok to just put as many as you want in a bowl and dust them with your vitamins and calcium and leave them in there for a few days if you gecko doesn't eat them. As long as you have them in a bowl and they can't crawl on your gecko your gecko probably won't be stressed.
