It's good you are asking this question. Many people jump into breeding without realizing just how many offspring a single female can produce in a season and wind up with too many geckos that they cannot find homes for!

Like Felicia said, I hold back the very best offspring for future breeders, and the rest get posted on my website, or sold locally and at trade shows.

I wish more people thought like this :main_angry: Like Marcia said, too many people just jump right in and start breeding, before even knowing the basic care of the animal.

You are doing to right thing by learning as much as you can before trying to breed. Kudos to you!

Next year, I do not see the harm in trying it once for your own knowledge, though once you have experience with them. Also, the funds, space and time are needed also. I had geckos for 2 years before I tried to incubate their eggs and I have only done ita few times for the learning experience. I have plenty of rack space for the babies, so i can take in a few extra geckos. Learn first, invest in a rack or two and then try your hand at baby making. lol
