A bit smelly

My oldest male gecko's viv is always a bit smelly, its a weird smelly, were as my younger gecko female doesnt smell at all is it male thing for them to smell more as they mark the scent?

Yes males will actually must( spray) there areas as a sign of dominance and to state that its there territory
