A couple of incubation ?'s

My gravid female will lay anyday now so I'm getting the incubation container ready. So here's my questions.

1. Can I put the deli cup right on the heat tape on my rack? It's a foot long heat tape and it is running on 1 shelf. So do I need to enclose the deli cup in anything or can I just put the lid on and place it on top of the heat tap?

2. Would this size deli cup be enough to hold 2 eggs. Like would there be enough oxygen in it to contain 2 eggs? I think it's an 8 oz but here's a pic.

Set the container on the heat tape for a while and monitor the temps, my guess is it will get way too hot though.

That should be fine, I incubate multiple clutches in the little sandwich size gladware containers.

Thanks! The heat tape is on a thermostat so I can control the temps. And yeah, I am going to start monitoring temps right now.
