Mk, so I've been trying to figure out why my rescent baby hatched early and all that and it seems its pointing to the mom being a first time breeder and not getting the "egg chemistry right", would that make sense? Or was it my incubators fault?

Also. My female(one above) has laid her 4th clutch(7 eggs) and she hasnt been with my male for nearly 3 months. Im debating on weither to put them back together or not....she is around 50 grams and she does start eating again when she lays but stops around a week early...Again shes a first time breeder and im wondering if itd still be ok for her to bred again or should i just wait it out as is(male was a firster too!).

So far one baby has died in its egg, one is early but alive and well, and then there are 5 more of hers in the incubator. If i see veins in the egg that means there fertile right? So far with all my first timers there eggs seem good(growing and veins) so im kinda like wow. this is 4 differen females too lol from the same breeder:D

First year breeders can go either way, good or bad. And some of both. If you aren't sure of your incubation, that can't be ruled out either. I like to put the pair back together after every second clutch, to be sure of fertility. Some folks may feel differently about that, but it's what I do and have had good results. Some of my first year girls have been undependable as far as laying, others popped them out on the dot. Try not to get overly concerned about how many they "should" lay, just when we figure it out, something changes.
