Those are so cool! Angelfish are by far my favorite freshwater fish. I haven't had the best of luck with them though. I'm hoping to change that around. Is it easy to breed them?

Well, if you get them from a petsore...well, let's just say I don't recommend buying from a petstore. It's best to buy from online breeders. The angels from petstores need to be treated for ich, which usually infests them. :(

but, no, they aren't very easy to breed. I had to do water changes daily, get the pH to 6.0-6.5 and keep the temp right. The water changes I had to make about 5 degrees cooler than the tank temp. So, it takes a lot of little tweeks to the water for them to breed. Also, when they breed, it's not guaranteed that the parents won't eat the eggs....so, it's a pain....which is why I like breeding leos better! lol.

I love your angels and it is so rewarding to get fry to hatch out from the eggs
You have to post pics of your Discus

They are the coolest fish -especially when they have babies feeding off their body mucus/slime

Great pics!!

I will get some discus pics when they recover. I had a case of some fin-rot with them and their fins are just now growing back...uggg. One also has bloat pretty bad and is being treated right now for it. They are super hard to take care of. *rolls eyes*

Thanks for the compliments all! I loved having the babies. The mom was so proud in that picture. She's the fish in the first picture too. She's my favorite. Unfortunately I lost the dad. I got a bad pleco from someone that had something that gave it to the father of those babies. It was sad but he fought it off. I had to put him down eventually. :( Was very sad. But his legacy lives on through his beautiful babies.
