ok, I have 2 leos. 1 male eclipse and 1 female las vegas patty. The male is going on 10 months and my female is going on 7. Both are at 50 grams now and I am wanting to breed them once they are a year old. I already have an outlet for the babies I dont keep.

1.) What can I expect when I put these two together, meaning, what morph?
2.) what can I expect as far as how violently the male will pursue her?
3.) Bed-a-beast in the lay box/moist hide?
4.) How can I heat the plastic tubs for the babies with out risking melting the plastic?
5.) any links or tips for making an incubator?

1. I'm not good with genetics, I'll leave that to a pro.
2. Wait until you know the female is ovulating. She will be more inclined to allow the mating. This may sound bad, but we like to watch. It is to make sure she is accepting the advances rather than fighting. Also first timers can be really clumsy. We've had to place them so they are going the right direction.
3. If I'm not mistaken bed-a-beast is a brand name of a coconut fiber substrate. If so, that will work fine.
4. How are your adaults kept? We use a rack with heat cable. We have iris tubs, and they do not melt from the heat cable because there is a thermostat attached. Best idea is to use a thermostat with your heat source to keep a constant safe temp.
5. Best bet for an incubator is to buy one. If you can't afford anything too expensive look at the hovabator. You can usually find them for around $40.
