A HAPPY ENDING TO A NOT EATING PROBLEM

Hi guys,

I haven't been on here for some time now but I did want to share with you want happened to Daisy in hopes of encouraging someone else who is facing the same problem.

In Dec 2008 Daisy stopped eating. She was about 8 or 9 months old. I was doing everything correctly. I took her to the vet who did an x-ray & nothing showed up. To the Vet she was healthy except she would not eat. Eventually I started her on Jump Start. I did this for months. At one time I thought she was going to die. She had a lot of blue on her underside. It didn't look good at all.

Finally around October 2009 I decided that either she was going to eat on her own or she would die:(. I stopped giving her jump start & just put a few mealworms, silkworms or wax worms in for her every night. I was doing this every day even when I was giving her jump start. I also put one or two crickets in for her.

As of 12/31/08 she weighed in at 65g. By August 2009 she was down to 42g. In Nov 2009 she was still at 42g. Last night I weighed her & she is up to 54g:main_thumbsup:

It was so bad that at one point her tail started to get hard at the end & even started to break off. Now her tail is thicker & she is looking much better:main_yes:

I am having a hard time getting a photo to load on here but here is a link to my photo bucket that shows Daisy's underside. This photo was taken in June when she was weighing 45g.
