Sara, its a Q-tip. Yes and no. I have found that the temperatures and humidity are pretty close. There size is to be debatable, I have heard that Gargoyles are smaller than Crested geckos. But my Gargoyles are bigger, much bigger than my Crested. So I am sure it has to do with the different lines of each species. Gargoyles are semi-arboreal and tend to be thicker or fatter than the Cresteds. Cresteds could aslo be consider semi-arboreal as they have been found sleeping under pieces of bark on the ground, in the wild. Gargoyles will regenerate lost tails where as Cresteds do not. Both are fruit and insect eaters. Also Gargoyles tend to be less jumpy. Both Gargoyles and Cresteds are geckos found in New Caledonia.I hope this helps.
awwww! How cute, Eric! I hope you can get those little boogers to start eating on their own soon... I hear Gargs can be like that when they are small...
I feed my crestie the same way, on a stick. Or off my finger..
But I've had to hand-feed mine too! I took your advice though, only I've been mixing VERY small amounts of CGD with the baby food.. I tried half-and-half but he refused it!
He/She's adorable.. I think I might want to add a gargoyle to my collection!
Awwwww!!!! They are SO cute :sweetheart: That last picture is my favorite, he's like a little deer caught in headlights :stunned: :main_laugh:
They really are beautiful Eric, hand feedings and all
(I read the title of this thread before I opened it, and I thought "Ohhh I hope Eric posted updated pics of the Gargs!!!" lol You always think up hilarious titles)
