I was just cleaning out my leo's tanks when I got to my second gecko. She's a female I got from Jeanne. She is very jumpy and tonight when I picked up her hide she seemed fine. I lightly touched her on her side to let her know I was there. She seemed fine but then all of a sudden she bolts across her tank. Then she looked up at me and slowly raised her tall and shook her tail back and forth slowly. I left her alone and came back in a few minutes. She was trying to dig under the paper towel. What is she doing? Should I let her be and try to clean her tank tomorrow and just feed her tonight?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

You just Stratled her, And she didnt expect it and the tail waving is just to let u know she's not happy at the moment, and she is probably just digging to try and hide under the paper towel, some of my leos hide there as well. You could still clean her cage tonight ,its fine.

Thats good too know. I have watched my leopards tail waving before they strike at crickets. I always start talking to my geckos when I get near their cages to clean, feed or anything before opening them up and stiking my hand inside. If my male Vince is hiding, he comes out and waits for me to mist inside his cage. It is a daily thing for him. My wife never believed it until I got her to see for herself the other morning. It is so cool :)
