If you'd like him to be more friendly, you will need to try to tame him. When you are in and out of his cage for cleaning and feeding, try letting him smell your hand so that he can get used to it. If you handle him for short periods of time every other day or so, he should eventually get used to you and being handled.

Do you still feed him the Turkey baby food?

The same thing happened when I first got my gecko.
As long as he poops, then that fine, and he will eventually eat.
What I did was placing a piece of paper in front of his cage( to prevent him eating sand), then put half-dead mealworm on it( to prevent mealworm from running away to fast), then he ate it.
Have to admit I was very worry until I saw him first eat his food, nowadays I have to feed him this way because I think he get used to this. LOL
