A lot of work.....and I have a great daughter

Well as some of might have read Jacy and I have been taking care of Marcia's geckos this week. I have a new admiration for her. It has made Jacy and I appreciate her having under 20 geckos. We are having the time of our life. Jacy checks on every gecko, everyday. Sometimes even checks on her favorites two or three times. Might I mention she's on the honor roll, does volunteer work with HARP ( Homeless Animals Relief Project ), is in Leadership for school and plays volleyball which includes practice 3 nights a week and games two nights a week. Oh and of course the horses. Sorry I know this is a little off the gecko subject but back to GGG. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

I wasn't sure if you were or not.. I like to get an idea of what my collection could be like one day if my wife lets me or leaves me (which ever comes first :main_laugh: )


I've been trying to meet different people on the forums when I'm traveling for work and seeing how I might do it someday. I know Marcia has been in the game a long time and I'm sure has an unreal setup which simply fascinates me.

 

[Golden Gate Geckos]

I would like to take this opportunity to share my deepest appreciation to Jacy and Connie for the AWESOME job they did caring for the Golden Gate Geckos while my husband I enjoyed a long needed vacation. It was wonderful to come home to totally spotless gecko room with clean enclosures with fresh paper towels and bowls full of mealworms, lots of new babies, and eggs in the incubator.

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!! :main_thumbsup:

(BTW, I have 56 leopard gecko breeders, 17 C. elegans, 8 banded gecko breeders, 8 U. milii breeders, 3 N. levis breeders... not as many as you think! I don't know how many babies I have or eggs incubating at this time.)

thats still alot of geckos to take care of, expecially if someone else is comming into your reptile room, not used to cleaning it every day

The reason I asked is because I like to get an idea of what the pros have, and what I could have one day. I now have 30 breeders but only mated 6 this season due to space, qaurantine, size,and genetic projects for this season.I'm going to breed around twenty next season. It looks like I'm halsway there! I'm buying a natures spirit inubator next month.I also built an 8 foot wide;7 foot tall;3 foot deep,six shelf rack for more space. I still need to wire the flexwatt though.
