I bought this male tangerine gecko back in early December, he was from a 'no' name breeder I could tell he was underweight.. anyone could.
I bought him and a female together he was going to be a 'rescue'. My guess was that the female and him were housed togerher and the female was dominate and eating all the food offerd because she was 64 grams.

He was 40 grams when I got him, and now is 39 grams.

He won't eat anything offerd (silkworms, waxies, phnx worms, mealies, crickets ect.) All he has ever ate since I got him was 2 super worms.

I have already took a fecal to the vet suprisingly no parasites. I have had him on Marcia's slurry for 1 week now. He will literally eat 2-3 drops then just leave it on his nose. I'm really worried about this guy.

He's in a 15G tank with a lamp for extra d3 supplemt.

Anyother suggestions all he does is hide. :main_no:

Edit: oh yeah and oddly his tale is pretty fat.. not normal fat but fat for a sick/underweight gecko.

Do you have any pics you can post of him? Can you describe your complete setup for him?

I find it odd that he'd have "pretty fat" tail and still be sick/under weight. Maybe he's just in burmation and not wanting to eat. Loss of 1 gram in 1 months time is not bad at all for a burmating gecko.

I agree with Felicia's post.... we need to know his environmental details. Keep in mind that if you are slurry-feeding him, he will not be hungry for 'real' food.

He is not in burmation.
His body is very skiny a bit thicker then a pencil. then his tail isn't like the other sick geckos I've seen by no means is it 'big'.

Heres a description of his set up:

2 hides one hide is a humid hide and the other one is just a dry hide.
Paper towls as substrate.
1 rock for him to bask on. I know leos are nocturnal but I want him to bask for extra d3
2 water dished I want two in there to make sure he's not dehydrated.
1 food bowl has worms in it at all times.

Thats about it.

I can get pictures up within 15 minutes. They won't be amazing quality.

Edit: I can't get the pictures for an hour or two my family is sleeping and the pictures are down stairs were there sleeping. :(
