a question for those who know(breeders)

Hey guys this is really aimed at some of the folks who are breeding on a larger level. I have four 15 box boaphile sweater box racks that I use for snakes which I was going to sell. Rather than selling them(they are top notch and I love them to death) I was considering keeping my adult geckos in them. I keep one gecko per box and dont group breed. MY QUESTION IS, LOL, I was wondering if you feel this box may be too small to house a single adult leopard gecko. Each box is 16 X 10.75 X 3.75 first phillips clear plastic sweater boxes. I have heard other breeders use the rubbermaid 12quart boxes which are even smaller than this. What do some of you guys use? Here is a photo of the racks. Thanks so much. Mike Panichi

Well, I'm not a breeder, but I don't see what about your question requires breeder knowledge. Those dimensions are fine for a single leo. Actually, is there enough space between the shelves for the heat source to get enough air to it? You may melt the boxes if you don't.

I use 15qrt for my single tubs, I'd think that the ones in that rack would have enough floor space, just not sure on the hight, seems a little short for a lay box to be added. You could do it if you put a laybox in that has an opening on the side, but be warned with the opening on the side, the female can and will be kicking on the substrate out of the box, when digging.
