A quick question

3 of my TUG Sunglows all laid eggs this past week. I was going to introduce my male again this week but read that you don't have to introduce the male again for atleast 3-4 more cluthes. Is this always true. Does the female always retain sperm for that long?

it doesnt hurt to introduce again as long as everyone is recovered and weight is regained, and females are ovulatting

thanks for the reply. But speaking of keeping weight on how do people do this. I have read many times that some breeders just leave 5 females and 1 male together all year long without ever removing the male. How are they keeping the weight on. Before I introduced my male a month or so ago all 3 of my females weighed 45-52 grams. After they laid there eggs the females droped to 35-38 grams. Clearly not heavy enough to breed again. Is this common for the females to drop that much weight. thanks
