So my last remaining petco baby has a small bit of shed stuck in her eye. It's been this eay for about 3 days. After a nice warm soak she manages to open it up but i can see the shed. She is about 3 and a half inches long and im just too scared to try to remove it with tweezers since she is so small.

my question is: how often do leos shed? I read on another thread that the problem was resolved simply by the gecko shedding again an it came off.

her shed it on the upper and lower side of her eye but only very close to the eye.

what do you think? I'm going to france next friday and im leaving her in my brothers care... will she shed beforethen? im guessing she shed about 4 days ago. thanks

That can depend on many things... how much she eats, temp, etc. Chances are, she won't shed before you leave, but it is possible. However, I do not think just waiting up to 2 weeks is a good idea. She could go blind from this. You need to get that off somehow. I know your concern about her being a baby and probably thrashing around a lot. That happened to me when my leo was only a couple weeks old, but her problem was just on the top of the head and the toes. I am not exactly sure how to go about that, though.

Hi Jessica, that was my gecko that had a tiny bit of stuck shed in the corner of the eye, then came off with the next shed. I had waited because I realised the bit of skin didn't bothered him the tiniest bit, so I wasn't too worried about eye infection. If your gecko is not willing to open the eye, or is blinking and licking her eye constantly, I think you'll need to help her get it off asap otherwise her eye could get infected.

i weighed her tonight on a new scale i just bought at office max.. she is a grand total of 6 grams.

she is now having some sort of hiccups? and when i feed her -through a eye dropper full of "carnivore care" her throat seems tight and she looks very uncomfortable and unhappy. She wasnt eating mealies for a while but i stopped with the carnivore care for a few days and she graced me with some poo so im assuming she ate some worms.

i'm really concerned about her right now. sometimes when i pick her up she almost curls into a ball, or i try to mave her in my hand she will stay in the exact position with her legs tucked in, almost like a kitten would do if picked up by the neck from its mom..

besides a warm bath, is their anything else i can do to losen the shed in her eye? she is able to open it after a warm bath.. i'm pretty sure its shed.. a first it looked like goo but earlier it looked like shed.

any ideas? maybe a cream or something?
help!
