I found a recipe online that said to put 3 parts Bran and 1 park powdered milk as the bedding/food for mealworms and I am using carrots, potatoes and apples. I also dust them with Calcium w/ D3 before feeding to geckos. Am I missing anything?

Sounds good to me, I don't use the powdered milk part. But I mix bran & oats as their bedding, and use carrots & lettuce as their food/moisture.

I have been using chicken mash for my colonies. I get a 50 lb. Bag for $11 and it lasts me for awhile. The mealworms love the mash plus the mash is high in protein

thanks everyone. I actually had a few large kritter keepers that I am not using for anything and am using that so there is enough air movement so hopefully the moisture is kept down. I have been changing the veggies daily (they go through it pretty fast) I keep them in my room where my cats are not allowed to go and there are up on a shelf just in case one finds her way in there.

at the risk of the cat using the tub for a litter box hahah.. that one pissed me off

oh that would piss me off too haha
