If I'm not mistaken, it's a co-dominant gene, so it depends on the parents' genes. Giant x normal = 50% giants. Giant x Giant = 25% super giants, 25% normals, 50% giants. Etc etc... works like the MS gene. But as babies there really is no guarentee (in a mixed outcome) which babies are giants and which are normals.

It's my understanding that giants have a lanky appearance when they are juveniles. But by no means a solid way to identify them.

i think the best way to tell giants is a few months after hatching, they will be noticably bigger than there clutchmates who arent giants.
