We recently got a racking system and put several of our adults and hatchlings in it. They've been in the rack about 2 months now. Previously they had been kept in tanks, but due to the number of geckos we have, it was becoming a problem as to where to go with the tanks.

Several of the geckos in the rack are acting just like they were when they were in their tanks while others have gone on hunger strikes. Some of these were previously our best eatters.

Has anyone else run into this when switching from tanks to racks? Did you end up just waiting it out or what did some do to get them going again?

Additional info - Rack is run with back heat (because of the way it was built), temp in the dummy box is generally between 89-91.

also...

What do some other people do to keep the humidity up in their set ups? We spray their bins down when feeding, but some are having issues shedding, even though theres still moisture in the bin. Should we just add moist hides rather than regular hides?

just about all mine hang out in their moist hides, I use 5 cup Wmart brand food storage containers with a hole burned in for a way in; $1.67 for 4 of them. You can do one humid and one not, and it wont cost much.

I keep all of mine in tubs as well.. 3 females per tub.. I keep 2 humid hides and 2 regular hides in each tub. 1 of each on each end. Even though temps are right and there is enough hides for each one, they all seem to want to snuggle with each other in 1 humid hide.
