I don't wander into this area very often but I was approached today with a great offer of 2 AFTs and I want to make the best decision, especially financially.

Anyway these two AFTs have been feeding on Crix and one has been getting the occasional waxworm. My question is, is it possible to ween AFTs off Crix and on to Roaches.. dubias to be exact?

Yes. I have done it with two adults that was eating crix only for 2 and 3-4 years. They both eat only dubia now. But the younger they are, the easier the feeder switch will be.

I would suggest that you prime them with a cricket or three and then throw in a roach. After a feeding or two reduce the number of crickets and increase the roaches until the jump at the roaches without the crickets. This technique works well with changing any food item in my experience. Best of luck:)
