Every time I get near her cage, she sticks her tail straight up.
She tried biting me when I put my hand in to re moisten her hide.
What are some reasons for aggression in Leos?
Or is it just her personality?

Is it a young leopard gecko or an adult? Younger ones are more skittish, but they will get used to you soon enough. It took my 2 baby leopard geckos over 1 month to get used to me. Before they would dodge me when I walk by. They'd hide when I opened their screen top. Now 1 month later they just lay there when I walk by, and when I open the screen top they know it's feed time so they crowd around by the glass and look up waiting for food.

If you just got the leopard gecko, then give it time.

Some times if you startle them they react like that. dose she do it every time you put your hand in.
i always russle around a bit befor i go in any ones cage just to let them know Im there. after i do this they allways poke their head out of hides to look then go back again as if they sort of go "OH its you" :p

plus if you have only had her for a short month she wouldnt have got to trust you yet. your just this really big giant creature probing her space with your scary hands. Gecko just feels threatened im sure.

Yes. You should try to leave it be for a while. Like a month or more to let it get accustomed to its new surroundings. Also how is its housing setup? Maybe its also stressed from other things apart from your scary hand invading its space.

It can take awhile for them to warm up. She's just not used to you yet. Every now and then Toon will do that to me, even though she's very tame. It usually happens when I reach into her tank to clean up messes without saying anything to her. She'll hold her tail up and wag it back and forth slowly. But if I stop what I'm doing and talk to her, she gets this look like, "Oh, okay. You're my mom!" I've also seen her do it when she sees a shadow lol!

I guess some leos are just not very friendly, though. But it's too early I think to tell that about yours. Just don't rush it. Toon crawls right into my hand and she was very skittish for the first month or so. My sister has a leo also that will interact with her through the glass but if she tries to pick her up she gets pissy.

Put your hand in there a couple times a day for her to get used to, she'll probably flick her tongue at it to smell you. Maybe she's scared of the mister or whatever you use to moisten her hide.

I just did the thing with the glove.
It was a rubber gardners glove though.
I'll try again later with my hand since she didnt bite at it.

I wouldn't put my hand in there just yet, since your gecko is already scared of you walking near; that'll probably add to the stress. Give her more time, slowly walk in front of her and let her lick your hand when she no longer raise her tail at you or bolt away. The key is do everything SLOWLY; I find speaking to them softly helps too.
