I've been breeding leopard geckos for 5 years, well going on 5 years that is. Anyway this is the first time i have had a male leave marks on one of me females. Shes got to marks on top of her head and I just noticed a mark on her nose now. i have not witnessed this male breed with her yet but I think is shy and wants to keep his business to himself and his girl to their cave?
Has this happened to anyone else out there. i'm pretty sure the male is breeding though because his tail is not as fat as it use to be, so I'm thinking he must be doing his business. Anythoughts would be cool.

Thanks,
Rob

Sometimes when geckos breed they can give / get "Love" bites...LOL When you see them together, does it look like they get along? If they are aggressive towards each other when not breeding I would separate them for a week and try to reintroduce them again later, because the female may not be ready to breed, but the male might try anyway, and that is when they tend to fight. If they get along then I wouldn't worry about it.

Thats the thing they get along, weird. This is my new colony that I peiced together this year. they all get along and i don't even hear them make any noise at all. I'm pretty sure they are breeding because of the males tail is getting skinny and he doesn't eat as much as he did before. i guess I will know eggs start showing up.
