This is our new girl, Aiko. We originally named her Takara but then decided we no longer liked that name :main_rolleyes: Aiko means "beloved one" or "little love" in Japanese.

We are absolutely infatuated with her, she is so friendly and loving. We can't believe that we've lived this long without ever owning such a beautiful girl like her :heart:

The Grateful Dead used to do a song called "Aiko Aiko" too. The lyrics were cajun patois though, not japanese. Yeah, they probably still play it, but they're not really the Grateful Dead to me without Jerry Garcia.

That is weird though, I had a snake dream last night too. Somehow, there were Enigma Snakes and we had the chance to get one but the only way to do it was to invest in the stock market..??? LMAO it makes no sense.. and Mike had a dream that we hatched a gecko with a blue head :main_laugh:

Yeah it was pretty awesome in the dream, it was all white with those crazy orange speckles that some enigmas get.. that's the best way for me to explain it anyway LOL

I think there was a thread started on gecko dreams, but I'll start a new one about "crazy reptile dreams" haha

That's hilarious! The only way you could get an Enigma Snake was to invest in the stock market? That's got to be one of the funniest dreams I've ever heard of!

If you don't have money in the market now, I wouldn't recommend investing. JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs along with the FDIC under Bernanke and the Treasury under Paulson are disintegrating our economic system.

LOL yeah it made no sense at all! The dream also had something to do with being in space (can't remember very clearly anymore), but I know the space part game from a video game that Mike is playing.

But yeah, the stock market part could have been from me just thinking about how bad it is. We don't have any money invested and definitely plan not to :main_yes:

I missed this! Congrats, Jess! She's beautiful! I have been working on convincing Shawn that we need a Corn, too....... I don't think he will have the biggest problem with it, as I promised him that I will not get a snake that could get large enough to eat the kitties. :main_laugh: That was his only concern. I've gotten so many leos lately, though, that I have to wait. *pout* Only problem is, my Mom doesn't like them at all, and while she has no say in what I get for my own house, she is my gecko sitter. :main_rolleyes: *sigh*

Thanks Mari!! That's funny, we have to make sure we don't get a snake that can eat our cats as well LOL

The adults only eat every ten days though, so if you aren't gone for more than that, you wouldn't need your mom to really even go near the snake cage at all
