Airtight container?

Should an airtight container be used while incubating? What happens when the eggs hatch? I would assume they need little oxygen, but still.

I personally put no holes in my deli cups. I use a 1:1 ratio of vermiculite and I open the containers once a week for air exchange.

Babies can go a couple of days in the airtight container but only in emergencies.I check my incubator twice a day

as long as you do not go away for more than 2 or 3 days you will be fine
