Albeys Method

I was gonna just make the egg container and then place it on heat tape and then use Herpstat Pro Proportional Thermostat( I already ordered it) to control the temp at the egg. IS this possible or should I use Albeys method and get the Hovabator ?

Using Albeys method and the STILL AIR REPTILE HOVABATOR does this unit monitor and change the temp to maintain a certain temp, is the temp in the unit not very accurate? Why the need for the other temp unit she uses ?
