Well a few months ago at an expo, i purchased a leopard gecko. unfortunately i am terrible at identifying blizzards or raptors, so i didnt realize i was getting scammed. It has been pointed out to me that she is obviously not what she was sold as, and is probably just a simple albino.

Now i am in a predicament. She is gravid. She has been bred to a normal pos. het tremper. But i have no idea what strain of albino she is any more! I am going to test breed my normal male to my SS tremper girl to see if he proves out, but in the meantime, i would love some opinions on what strain of albino she is! I'm personally leaning more towards tremper, but im not good at identifying albinos either! so any help is appreciated!

Here she is:

Well shame on me for trusting the word of a breeder apparently... Obviously the man knows what she actually is though, as she is a proven breeder, and was surrouned by her offspring (which were labeled likewise) and were all albino too! I believe he will be at the next expo in May, so if she doesnt prove out as tremper, i know who im drilling for answers! Well actually im going to go queston him anyways to see what he has to say for himself! Thank you guys in advance! and hopefully everything works out for Porkchop and I!

The eyes look like bell albino eyes but I'm still half asleep lol. They seem to have the very 'pinkish' coloration to them which bells have

I'm going to say Tremper. The cup is also labeled as Blazing Blizzard x RAPTOR. So this gecko should be Tremper het Blizzard het Eclipse. Did he sell saying it was a Blizzard or a Raptor or just say it was a cross?

I think Vampyre is right. The cup says Blazing Blizzard x (crossed with) a raptor. That means the breeder didn't say she was a blazing blizzard but only that one of her parents was. I would trust what the breeder says and assume she is a Tremper albino that is het for Blizzard and eclipse. If you have the breeders contact info you could always shoot him a message and ask where he got the parents from to see if there's a chance they could be het for more than one albino.

+1

It sounds more like confusion from the buyer than from the breeder.

uuuggghh... i didnt realize that that was an X ! i don't know why i didnt though :( it looked like a fish to my brain, and apparently didnt register as an x.... i though it meant blazing blizzard het raptor... This is why i don't like labels like this! If i had known that she was just a tremper het blizzard and eclipse when i bought her, it wouldve been much easier.. i think the breeder will be at the next expo in may, so ill have to talk to him there. He didnt leave any contact info or a card or anything, so thats my only chance to straighten out her genetics...

So cna anyone tell me what i would get from pairing her to a normal pos. het tremper?

Edit: nevermind i used the genetics calculator :)

Well looks like a tremper to me. So if you pair it with a norm het tremper then you would get trempers and normals. But if it is a different albino then you would just get normals as the different types of albino can't intermingle.

well yes, but that doesnt take into account that she is het blizzard and eclipse then :) I am almost positive about the tremper (beacause of the raptor parent) but ill talk to the breeder in May hopefully, so that i can be sure about her genetics :)
