Albino is not eating after a week

hey everyone i purchased a nice adult albino het raptor from steve.
so far it has been a week without him eating and i was thinking that this could be because i have been feeding him during the afternoon. Do you think that i should start feeding him at night when its dark so he can actually see, because i know that albinos are sensitive to the light.

Does anyone think that might be the problem with him not eating besides the fact he is still a bit skidish.

And has anyone ever had this problem?

It happens sometimes, but since it's only been a week I wouldn't be too worried yet. I usually don't bother feeding my geckos until late in the evening (about an hour before their lights go off) because that seems to be when they're the most active, and when they're the "hungriest."
I'd make sure that you're offering the same type of food that Steve was feeding him, make sure that his temperatures are appropriate, and that there's nothing unnecessarily stressing him out (another gecko close by, bright lights, loud noises, commotion, etc.)
Good luck, I hope that helps.

Well there's one of your problems right there. All new leos should be quarantined for 60-90 days, 90 being best. And yes feeding at night with the lights real dim would be best for albinos.

To make sure my geckos eat, I always leave a bowl of mealworms in with the gecko so he/she can eat when they feel like.

I would recommend quarantining him right away so he doesn't get more stressed. Also if he hasn't been eating start assist feeding him. Hold him and give him about two mealworms a day until he starts eating. You may have to open his mouth a little while assist feeding.
