Greeting all,

I'm a new member here hope everyone can guide me along the way. Currently i own a Albino and a high yellow. But lately i notice albino leopard has poor eyesight. The reason why i said this is because, when ever i throw in crickets for the leo, it cant seem to see it around him, only if i place the crickets directly infront of it. I would like to is this normal for albino leopard?

Cheers:)

Yes, albinos have poor eyesight in the light. They do best feeding at night in the dark. As a matter of fact, since leopard geckos are nocturnal, their eyes in general are not adapted to the light like basking lizards' are.

My albino is, as best we can determine, completely blind. The one vet joked we could do some sort of fancy test to really confirm but that it costs more than most cars to just run it. I just stick with mealies in a bowl I never move position-wise in the cage. Zat can't eat crickets at all. She freaks out when they touch her.
