Well after a few weeks several of my meal worms have turned into the little alien things. Since I don't want beetles Ive been killing them as Ive found them. Will geckos eat these? Is there any harm if they do? I don't want to leave them in thier dish all day if theres any danger to my leo's.

I feed them to mine without any problems. I don't know the health value but they don't seem to mind?

Only one of our geckos will eat them..she loves them, the others leave them alone because they don't move so I think the geckos lose interest...

I wouldn't feed the super worm aliens though. They are very sharp on the sides.

Well as long as they aren't harmful to them, I will try feeding them before they get disposed of. Thanks:main_thumbsup:

It's really easy to breed mealies- why not set up the aliens in another tank? Really saves on cost (I think I've paid $5 in the past 6+ years for feeders) and then you never have to go to a store or buy online unless everybody's turned into aliens/beetles/eggs.

Also- if you don't want them turning- refrigerate. The life cycle is slowed down a lot that way- you can keep them un-turned for months (and once I'm pretty sure it was over a year- we found a thing of them stuffed way in the back of the fridge... still 1/2 live)

i have had our geckos eat the pupating beetles, they pupate fairly quick.

every night we pull out the pupated ones, but some of them fall victim to our

geckos. They dont seem to mind them, of course i wouldnt try to feed them

full grown beetles. but it shouldnt be bad for them seeing how the

exoskeleton is still very soft in the pupation stage. Dont kill them, put them

in a seperate container, and raise your own mealies.
