Okay so we have this ointment for the geckos just in case and a few days ago I was moving the container and blam!!! Rash all over my forearms, chest and neck. Its still here 3 days later. I forgot that this ointment is a sulfur based antibiotic ,and I am deathly allergic to this class of antibiotics! Also the AC has been broken this past week and we live in Florida. Hot + Itchy = Aggro. Haha
oh ya did I mention that the power went out? Listening to the back up battery beep all night was not fun!
Mostly we are very sad about two rescues from a close friend. It really makes you think that if our friend can come over and see how to keep geckos correctly then still have them on heat rock and no calcium then its possible for anyone to make the same mistakes. If anything it made me more sympathetic to newer owners that might get a few husbandry things wrong because here we are dealing with someone who literally has no excuse for ignorance. So it has been a little disheartening because if you can't trust a friend ,who has been over enough times to witness proper husbandry, to take proper care of your geckos who can you trust? It did not help my anxiety about our geckos being treated right in their new homes
So that's my rant as I sit in this 85 degree house sticking to the couch lol
