Am I crazy?? More cleaning and moving stuff around!

I started out a few weeks ago with trying to figure out a way to move my reptiles around so that they would be easier for me to access and get to for cleaning

As my reptile family has increased-I have had 10 gal tanks stacked on the top of 40 gal breeder tanks and this was just not working for me since I had to either slide pegboard tops or move tanks to get into the larger tanks on the bottom
The reptiles were fine with this set-up-I was not-lol
:main_rolleyes:

So I started in an unused front bedroom-moving stuff-throwing stuff away etc.
I bought two used pieces of wooden furniture with both shelves and drawers(it was a bunk bed set-no beds) and I moved all of the Rhacs onto those in a large unused walk-in closet in there because it is the coolest room in the house in the summer
That worked out great!
:main_yes:

I have that room just about finished but then I looked at another small room tonight and decided that it also needed to be cleaned and stuff tossed and that I could fit at least two racks or some of my tanks in that room
:main_rolleyes:
Yikes!!

I normally would have no problem with this burst of energy and cleaning frenzy but I have chronic pain issues that leave me screaming the day after I go crazy and do all this stuff

So-I have to wait a day or so until the pain calms down and I can start in again
Consequently-I have almost the entire house torn up/tossed up etc and no end in sight

Sigh

Whose bright idea was this anyway??
:main_rolleyes:

Hopefully I will be done in the next few weeks and everybody(reptiles) will be in a place that make sit easy as 1-2-3 to clean/feed

I have been meaning to do this for a long -long time

Every since my collection surpassed 10 aquariums and I started using tubs because they are a lot easier for my hands to deal with-weight wise

Wish me luck guys!!

I am going to bed (it's going on 4 am) so I can get back up and at least make a little bit of sense out of what I did today when I get up tomorrow-lol!!

Luck!!!!!

I just did the same thing. I agree I probably looked like a looney-tune cleaning, moving furniture, etc., but it's so nice to have everything organized. Our reptile room is the main living room (which is never used). We just replaced the carpeting with wood and put the racks along one wall along with a custom "armoire" (we bought it from someone with some smarts who built it from two bathroom cabinets stacked on top of each other that have been customized with windows/lighting/shelves) that houses the bearded in the top half and uro in the bottom. The snake is now on the bottom of a baker's rack/wine rack in the same room.

Up until this point we had reptiles strewn from one end of the house to the other. Now the only critter not in the living room is my son's tortoise who has always lived in his room. It's soooooo much more convenient to have them in one space and be able to see who needs what in an instant. I think it also took it from "YOU HAVE HOW MANY REPTILES???" to a layout that won't freak out our non-reptile loving visitors.

LOL-I don't have many visitors but I do understand what you are saying

Things here are moving along slowly but surely

I am very pleased with the progress that I am making and how much easier that it is going to be for me to get to everyone

I rested last night but back to work today!
