Am I wrong?

I purchased a female Tangerine het Raptor from a breeder that I know quite a while ago. All this season she was bred with a Raptor......every single baby is a normal. As far as I now and am concerned shes been proven out not het Raptor. So I put her up for sale and the breeder I purchased her off of is upset with me for selling her as a Tangerine. He said she was bred with a Raptor so shes a het Raptor and he wants her back. So Im sending her back but am I wrong? Would you sell something as a het that you have proven out Not to be het? Or have I jumped the gun in calling her proven out? I even told him I know that buying hets are a gamble but he seem to be taking it personally. This is very frustrating to me!!!!

Somtimes the odds dont play out fast. She could still be a het. But if your looking to sell her and have not proven she is a het. I cans ee why you would sell her as a normal tang.

Ok I can see your point......I was basing my decision of the fact, not that I didnt hit a Raptor but that nothing came of it not Trempers, eclipse....
I figured by the time she finished breeding I would see something along those lines.

some times the gecko gods just don't line up the planets to hit those odds. when selling a gecko disclosing all possible and true genetic traits is something that an ethical breeder would do.

Did they say that it was for sure het RAPTOR or poss het? Also how many viable eggs did you get out of it that hatched? All these factor into "proving" something out.

Of course I was going to let the buyer know the genetics I just didnt want them to pay for a het Raptor that was not!

It was sold to me as 100% het Raptor which is why he wants it back. 8 babies, 8 complete normals.

I probably would have put her as possible het raptor. You could always let potential buyers know that she didn't prove out for you. I've been lucky and have been able to prove out most of my hets on the first clutch. Maybe you just had bad luck, but it does seem odd.

From what he told me mother was a Tangerine Tornado and Father was a Raptor.
Kristi: Maybe your right I am not a very lucky person but I didnt think that unlucky!
