Amount of slurry to feed

Thanks to all of you here I found out my new sick gecko is a leopard and not a fat tail. I had posted last weekend on the fat tail thread.

My question is what amount should I be feeding her? She is between two and three years old, very skinny as my pictures show, no fat reserve on her tail and only weighs 22 grams. I've been giving 0.2 ml twice daily because I don't want to over feed her. She is still not interested in mealworms or crickets. I don't mind syringe feeding her the slurry because she takes it fairly well. I just don't want to under do it either.

Oh I had her checked for intestinal parasites and none. The fecal was not much so as soon as she gives me a nice healthy one I am going to recheck it.

Thanks for any input.

When I have gave mine slurry I just let them lick til they don't want anymore, they usually have lapped up quite a bit, and then when they are done it usually shows. I wouldn't over feed though.

I'm sure someone else might can give an exact amount, but I think it's hard to say.

Thanks Mandi. Yea I don't want to overfeed so thought I'd check here first. I wasn't sure if they would just keep eating or know when to stop when they were full. It sounds like yours stopped. Could you ever get yours to start eating on its own again?

Well I only used the slurry on a couple times once on a rescue gecko that wouldn't go poo, so I gave that along with some mineral oil to help it produce some poo for a fecal, she started eating again fine.

The second one I took to the vet, had a fecal in the office and even one sent off and they found NOTHING! He would not eat anything for me period! So I got him on slurry for about 3 days and he started chowing down crickets all by himself, so I think it does help stimulate the appetite.
