An announcement and a funny story :D

Well, first of all, the announcement: I've been a member here on the forums for about 6 months and I've noticed I have more posts than some people have that have been on here for YEARS :main_laugh:. I've finally hit my 1,000 post :main_cool3: Guess I need to cut back on the posting :main_laugh:


The funny story(well it was funny to me hope u guys get a laugh ):

Yesterday I was playing with my 2 six-month old leos on my bed. All of a sudden i feel a scratching on my ankle and I look down(i was talking on the computer*in the chatroom* lol so not paying too much attention to the geckos, just enough to know were they are at all times) and I see both geckos with their tails sticking out of my jeans. I try to grab them without unbending my leg(didn't want them going up past my knee LOL) and both of them get scared and crawl up farther. I call for my mom she comes in and i ask her to try to grab the geckos. By now ive unbent my leg and I was having a giggle fit because of the geckos trying to burrow in between my jeans and leg(trust me...gecko scales rubbing up against the underside of your leg tickle ALOT)and also gecko claws and my moms hand trying to grab them. Finally after 5 minutes of just laughing and laughing mom pulls both geckos out of my pants, and then my stomach hurt from laughing so hard.


Sorry for rambling just thought I would share and I hope you got a laugh out of the story ^___^

LOL yeah it was pretty funy from my angle and my mom was cracking up trying to get the geckos out because they were squeaking at her and climbing farther up my pants LOL.

Oh crap i just ruined my perfect 1000 post mark now its 1001 :main_laugh:

My geckos always end up in the weirdest places......earlier today one of my little geckos was climbing around my neck then decided she would take a trip up into my hair. she sat there with her front claws in my ponytail and her back claws in below the rubber band hissing/squeaking at me if i touched her to get her down :main_laugh:

LOL they do the cutest things I have had some crawl onto my back before (once they get back there I lean forward so that they don't fall off), then they just sit there lol.. if they're adults, I can usually grab them pretty easily, but last time it was a little baby (it was Cheeto actually) and I had to yell for Mike to come help me.. he kept running around all over my back :main_laugh:

:amin_laugh: last night i thought I lost my shtct cuz i reached onto my shoulder where it felt like she was(its weird with leos i can get a "ghost" feeling like their there even though they werent....)and she had dissapeared. im turning around(not getting up didnt want to squish her) and she falls off my back onto my chair :main_laugh: it suprised me cuz i felt her slide off my bac kand im like "THERE you are u dumb gecko....." :main_laugh: feel free to share any funny stories guys

haha, last week i was holding leila, my roommate's crestie, and she jumped to my head and went into my ponytail. she was all tangled up in my hair and i couldn't see to get her out, since she was inside my ponytail. chelsea (roommate) wasn't home, and even though my friend was there, she won't touch our geckos... it was tricky getting her out, but i managed eventually

The back storie reminded me of a time when I had my rose hair turantuala out and it started climbing up my arm, I went to pick it up before it got to high up my arm and it took off running up my arm, over my shoulder, and down my back. it stopped dead center of my back. I was still new to turantualas and I think it was the first time I held her while being alone. so I sat there for about an hour until my girlfriend got home and was able to help me.

Still not as bad as the time she(my girlfriend) was at work and she just barely opened the lid on the container of a 9in goliath bird eater and it pushed its way out and jumped straight on to her face. that thing covered her whole face. We managed to get it to crawl up and over her head and on her back then put a container over it and slid the lid under. I dont know how she remained so calm through all that, I would of been dancing like I was in a swarm of bees covered in ants. Needless to say she don't like goliaths any more.

the only real thing my gecko did was my female speedy loves to come out so i sat on the floor crossed legged like normal turned to get a mealworm to offer look from speedy and (poof) she was gone and in the corner of my eye i see her tail go under a set of draws i keep my gecko stuff in and i was like (bugga) did not know how to get her out but i got a hopper and she soon came running

this time she got tangled in my hair and wouldn't let me get her out :main_laugh: hehe i got a picture she wasn't too happy about that and crawled out of my hair . and yes that is my natural color, no dye or anything lol

Just yesterday, my leo Newton was in my hand, and suddenly darted onto my back right under my hair. I tried to gra her, but she kept going where i couldn't reach. My i shouted for my roommate to come grab her, but she won't touch her. I finally got Newton to just climb back around eventually.

I don't see how my roommate can be grossed out by her, Newton is so adorable!!! haha
