So...I haven't been around as often as I'd like to be. Getting to my laptop isn't the easiest thing to do when I cant walk, it's simply a hassle to hop on daily...But, I figured I should give a little update. As far as tank designs go, nothing has been done yet, but I -will- be getting a new front-open tank and all the remodeling supplies in the next few months. Which is fine, since the critter who will be calling the 'Castle' tank home still needs to grow a bit before she's ready to move in.
Dec 20th, my mom and sister managed to get me out of the house, strictly to go to our two big-name petstores (Co and Smart) to look for stuff for all our pets...Toys for the dogs, toys for the cats, treats for my niece's chinese dwarf hammies...Well, we got to the reptile section of Co and I melted. Two baby beardies were glass dancing/chasing me as I hobbled by, and Co's group of 7 Leos made me want to cry. Hypos, Tangs, normals, all at around 3-7 months. I would have brought home either the hypo or the tang they had, but something just told me to wait. Next stop was Smart, which had four very tiny Leo hatchies (I'd guess around 3-4 weeks at most). Three looked to be normal morphs, last one was hidden in a large handful of moss from the moist hide. Clerk got it out of the moss, and it turned and screeched at him. Guess which one I fell in love with?
This, is Rydia, and atm she does appear to be a female. (Flashlight sexing, I'll be checking again as she grows) Her bands are pale, but not pink like an albino...She also has 'freckles' all over the bottom and sides of her jaw, and the spots on her head look to be fading out...I'm assuming she's a Hypo, starting to show a slight bit of carrot tail as well. Not the best lighting, but her colors show through.
