LOL, we were watching a movie last night and I happened to look up and see this little nut, one of my het bell girls (amber I think LOL) trying to mimic the actions of Nuri who she must have been watching when he climbed the tree!

Silly leo thinks he's a rhac. I had a friend who REFUSED to put tops on his leos 20 gallon tank. untill one day one of his leos got out. He found it about 2 months later living in a small hole under his bathroom sink.

That is one crazy leo. How did she manage to climb up to that point?

It's not that hard, that's a front slider door tank, the part she's holding onto is only about 4 inches off the bottom

All my leo's climb. I have all my set-ups, for now, 10 gallon tanks on their sides with the tops toward me. The screen tops are secured with the black clips and then I have heat pads on all the bottoms. So when the lights go out, almost all my geckos will stroll around their enclosures and decide to climb the screens. I don't like it and am afraid that they might hurt they're feet, but for now I am limited on space and can't figure a way to keep as many geckos as I do any other way.

Also when I was heavy into the Paroedora species I used to see them climb the corner silicone and hang upside down on the screen. Silly geckos!:p

HOW CUTE!!!what is the substrate in that cage?

It's gray Reptile Carpet, but um lol someone decided to kick all the vermiculite out of the laying box, and that's also the "poopin corner" All of them go and poop over there, makes for less cleaning for me!

Nice pic Tonya-she really looks intent on geting whereever she is headed
:D
They do use their tails to boost themselves up too-especially the giants
I don't mean to be rude but keeping any reptile without a lid on the tank is like waiting for an accident to happen-whether or not you have cats or dogs or other pets that might punce on them
It is awful to have to search through the entire house for a Leo and still not find it and wonder if you ever will

I am still trying to figure out how my Blizz got out and I hate to say it but I think that last night when i was cleaning and feeding-I took out the paper towel roll and forgot to put it back in and the Blizz was in it
I feel absolutely awful about that
:(

I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about, that's a front door tank, it has sliding glass doors....and they're closed in those pics.

Oops-I'm so sorry about not being clear-today is one of those days-where even I'm not sure what i am talking about-it's a bad pain day for me

When I read the above quote-It reminded me of a friend that refused to keep tops/screen lids on her Beardies tanks and she went on vacation and came back minus several baby beardies-her pet sitter wasn't aware of the situation and left the reptile room door open and one of her cats got in and ate/killed several of the baby beardies

Tonya-I'm sorry about the confusion

ehhhh no worries, I just didn't want you to think that was the top of a tank, that's only 4 inches off the tank floor of a 55 gallon long tank....I love that tank....and I only have a big german shepherd....and for some reason he's absolutely addicted to watching the leos....and they seem equally interested in him, he wouldn't touch them though, when the geckos are out, he has to be right under it to see if it's gonna go on the floor....he was fascinated with one that was on the floor....it ran over his paw and he got confused, it was quite interesting....but then when I had an african gray congo parrot they were total buddies and would play when allowed...what can I say, I have a strange dog
