Another egg question

Just found another egg and its full, but soft. I basically saw her lay it. What Im wondering is, is it soft when it VERY FIRST comes out? Or are they already hard? Im a little confused why the eggs keep coming out soft. This is the second egg in a row. Arrrgh! Please help.

I guess they are soft from reading on the internet, but should I leave it in the cage or remove it and incubate soft?

They are often soft when first laid and harden up soon after. You should always incubate until it molds or caves in badly and you are sure it is a dud.

of course i will incubate but my question is did i take it out and put in the incubator too soon? Thanks

It is never too soon.

Sometimes I catch eggs within minutes and sometimes its a day later and I have not had any issues. It should be just fine.

Ok, thanks. Any idea how long it should take for the egg to harden up? I mean, she laid it in front of me and I took it out.
