I just got this Hybino, the guy said it's a jungle hybino. The picture of this one show it's very dark but it's actually lighter in person... the lighting in my house is really bad :main_no: Does this like it's a Hybino ? (I've never seen a Hybino before). I'll probably post more later on this week since I'm gettin 4 more geckos in 2 days :main_thumbsup:

Congrats on the new leo!

Ive not seen a hybino look like that as a baby, they are usually more solid orange/orange yellow with white stripes that pretty much fade out. Ive never seen one with brown.

When I look at it, the yellow bands looks like it's getting washed out... I guess I'll have to wait a few more months or something to see how this turn out. I'll have to complain if this aint a Hybino =)

Looks like a Normal Chocolate Tremper to me :-\

I've got a Tremper Hybino about the same age, here is the picture:

its not the yellow that makes me question the Hybino morph but the brown bands. They should be lighter, whiter.

I agree with you Wendy. Looking at other people's sites and availables, I haven't seen a Hybino with brown bands :-/

When you look at a hybino you will see the fading in the edges of the bands pretty early on..

maybe a breeder could offer up some of their photos comparing a normal to a hybino hatchling?

In all honestly it could have come from a hybino line, and just been a genetic mix up. Logically hybino should be line bred, for the hypo, and simple recessive for the albino. Hybinos being albino hypos.

Is it supposed to be male? He might have labeled it as Hybino because of it's genetics. If it was incubated for female, that would explain the darker color and no matter how "hybino" the Mom or Dad was it won't appear the same. If it was incubated for male, I would definately say something.

Wow! That gecko is a month old? I took it for a hatchling or week old at the most.

It may be convenient, but I wouldn't buy anymore geckos from them. A month old gecko should not be that skinny... :(
