Hey guys
Brand new leo owner here.. lots to learn and this seemed the best place to come
I'm an absolute reptile newbie so please don't flame at me if I ask any stupid questions... but any advice is greatly appreciated!!

I've had Heath for just over 3 weeks now. He's around 5 months old from what we were told. He seemed very skittish and distressed when picked up in the shop and cried a lot (literally sounded like a scared kitten), so currently going through the process of getting him more relaxed with us before starting trying to handle him too much.
Also, yes in my pic we have him on calci sand. I was recommended this by the store / lady we bought him off but having looked about I'm getting the serious impression this was a mistake!! ...currently looking into getting some nice big pieces of slate to bed into the sand so he can't get to it / ingest it and it's just a decorative layer underneath and not dangerous. Thankfully despite being a clumsy hunter he seems to spit the sand out straight away if he gets any in his mouth. We're feeding him with tongs though for now, just to be safe.
Anyway, sorry, bit of a ramble!
