I don't want to be one of those people who ask stupid things. I really do understand the genetics thing for the most part. It's the percentages that I don't get yet.

I have a normal that hatched from blizzard x mack snow het blizzard. I know that if one parent is blizzard than it's 50% poss het, right? If both were blizzard it would be 100%. Would this pairing make the baby 66% poss het blizzard then?

Sorry for all the questions lately. I just want to make sure I'm understanding everything. Thanks!

If one parent is Blizzard and other is not then you will get 100% het. blizzard - it means that all geckos you will get will be het. for blizzard.

If one parent is Blizzard and second is het. blizzard then you will get blizzards and het. blizzard. Every gecko that is not blizzard will be 100% het. blizzard.

If both parents are het. blizzard then you will have three different types - blizzard (25% of geckos), het. blizzard (50% of geckos) and geckos that will not carry blizzard gene (25%). There will be no possibility to tell which one is het and which one is not, so 75% of your geckos will look the same.

If you get 8 geckos from this pair then you have chance that:
- 2 of them will be blizzard
- 4 of them will be het. blizzard
- 2 of them will not carry blizzard gene.

So you will get 6 geckos that look the same, but 4 of them will be het. blizzard -> 4/6 * 100% = 66%, so you have 66% chance (possibility) that any of those 6 geckos will be het. blizzard

No.. since you have a Blizzard all the offspring from Blizzard x Normal would be 100% het Blizzard. All the babies that are not Visual Blizzards from this pairing wil be 100% Blizzard. You would get the 66% from het x het. I can't recall right off hand if there needs to be a visual if the offspring for the 66%.
