hey guys, im getting my leopard gecko next week and just had another question...

what do you guys do if/when the power goes out?

how long can leos go w/o heat?

That's a very good question. If the power just goes out for a couple of hours, the leos will be just fine. As far as how long they can go and survive? I'm not sure.. I guess if they got too cold, they could go into hibernation. They could probably live for a rather long time (months?) theoretically.

im just worried, living in florida, because hurricane season is right around the corner... there hasnt been anything too bad in the past few years though *knocks on wood*

been kind of wondering this question myself. I live in ohio and am kind of worried if a storm moves through and kicks the power off how long can my go without needing the heat? also its even worse in the winter it would be because I heat with total electric. I have read that you should use heat packs but should you place these under neath the glass on the tank? thanks.......Shaun
