Hello everyone,

I'm new here and have a few questions. I have 2 leopard geckos about 8 or 9 months old and I'm not sure exactly what specific types they are so any info there would be nice. Also I'm trying to figure out whether they are male or female. Here's a few pictures:
This is Ripa.

I believe he is a male.

And this is Thel.

I've been told she's a female but again not sure.

Again any help identifying what specific breed of leopard gecko these 2 are would be appreciated.

They both look like boys and appear to be on the thin side. What is your floor temp on the warm end and feeding schedule/feeders?

Yeah I was only feeding them once a day but they stopped gaining weight so now I feed them 2 times a day. Seems to be working because both look to be gaining some weight now.
My floor temp is around 95 on the warm side.
Thanks for all the helpful comments. :D

I don't agreed in that females can't have v shaped pores. I have had couples of females with the pores and the only difference is that you can't see the wax coming out of the pores and when you look to the pores using a magnifying lens you can see that in the males is an open pore and females is just like a black dot and is not open. I also have heard term, bulgy females. Check to the picture here and you can see the V-shaped pores on a female as well. http://www.repticzone.com/articles/sexingleopardgeckos.html

Although females can have pre-anal pores, generally females don't have bulges at the base of their tails. Although the second one has smaller bulges, they are still there, making my verdict male.

I am not an expert in Leopards Geckos and had been learning a lot in this past year thanks to all the people here at GF and from shows and expo. Here is a nice thread posted 2 years ago. As a said before some females seem to have the pre anal pores but you can't see the wax and as you said generally don't have bulges but can happen. In my personal experience at that age you can start seeing wax coming out of the pores and I don't see it in the second gecko also those bulges are not convincing me at all.

He was eating about 6-8 meal worms, not sure why he stopped gaining weight but now he's eating around 14-16. I just think he doesn't like to eat that much all at once but breaking it up seems to be helping.
