Any one have problems with the zoo med thermostat??

People have had problems in the past, but I love mine, and so do many others. As Wendy said, the green light means it is plugged in. The purpose of the probe that you have in the enclosure is to check the temperature. If you have it set at 91 degrees, the red light will go on until the probe reads 91 degrees (give or take). It will then turn off until the temperature drops back down under the given temperature. And it continues in that cycle. Hope that helps!

yeh the green light iz on and then it shuts off. but yeh i gess like u said that means its adjusting temps. How do u set it to a certain temp? the dial just has low and high from yellow to red

Oh I am sorry, I don't have the zoo med one, but they all work the same. Umm, I would think the range is about 60 to 100 or 110. So you can judge by that.

that's a rheostat, a thermostat has a temp dial a rheostat has a "hi to low" slide control.

With a rheostat you will need to get a digital probe and adjust the temps to get what you need. you will also need to adjust the temps if the room temps change.
