Anyone else have a lean gecko?

I have two female leopard geckos and have had them about seven years. One, Zia, is your typical leo in build. The other, Zephyr, is much longer and leaner, her tail has never been very fat even when she was housed alone for three weeks and given as many crickets as she wanted. She's by no means emaciated, just lean. Both geckos are housed in the same tank and eat roughly the same amount, and there's no bullying going on. She's never had any health issues and is very active. Also, her tail is much longer than my other gecko's. Zia's tail is the same length as her body while Zephyr's is long as her body and her head combined. Anyone else have a leo that just doesn't put on weight?

Here's a photo for comparison. (man it's hard to get both of them to stay sort of still for the same two seconds)

My female looks more like your Zephyr. To me Zias tail looks rather short. Ar you sure she did not loos a little bit of it at some point? Zias a little smaller but otherwise, to me, they seem to have the same proportions... except for the tail. Maybe they are both as lean... but Zias tail is fatter because it´s short... same amount of fat stored but at a shorter length.

These pictures were taken one and two or three years ago. She is a bit thinner right now but rapidly putting weight back on.

Are your leos laying eggs? My single leo always looses weight because of this. She also looses weight during the midwinter inactive period when she looses her appetite.
If you´d give them some Zophobas they would put on some weight. Your leos are, just as you say, not emaciated, just lean... but when possible storing a little extra is, at least to my leo, quite necessary. Maybe your leos does not have these eating habits... I wish mine didn´t. I always worry when she refuses food.

Zia did lose half her tail two months ago, my cat attempted to jump onto their tank and ended up dragging the entire thing off the stand smashing it to pieces. Luckily the girls were uninjured in the fall but the stress caused Zia to drop her tail. She regrew it pretty quickly though and it's pretty much the same length it was before she dropped it though maybe not quite as fat yet. I only have girls, so no eggs.

Oh, what a scare that must have been! O.O
...about the eggs... my leo is singel. She is about 14 years and has lived with me for the past 10 years. She lays eggs anyway. She started doing that just a few years ago. From what I understand it is quite common that female birds and lizards lay eggs even if there is no male. It´s just that time of the year and the hormones are flooding their bodies.

It was awful, I was just about to clean their cage so I had taken out their heavy clay hide and then closed the tank and went to get the sink ready because I like to take out each tile and scrub them with hot water and dawn when I heard the crash.

My geckos have never laid eggs, though my mali urn has laid eggs three times.
