Anyone ever had this happen?

one of the male halloween masks that i just got did not seem to want to eat anything offered. i could tell he was about to shed and i always make sure to have some moist orchid moss in the hides. i started getting worried last night as i could tell he was way past the point of needing to shed, so i pulled him out of his tub to give him a soak and he went crazy. not the normal freak out, put me down or i'll bite you crazy, but crawling through my fingers like a little snake. he shed completely in my hands in less than 3 minutes before i even had time to soak him. i checked all his toes, his tail, and his eyes and everything was off. placed him back in the tub and he quickly destroyed 3 mealies and 2 supers. was awesome to see.

Maybe he just needed something solid to remove all his shed? Does he have a "scratching post" in his tank?

i had one that wouldnt shed... she was in shed for a while but i thought she was just preparing to shed so i took her out to soak her and while soaking her skin started coming off but she didnt care so i took it off, well most of it i put her back with some on her tail and leggs came back 2mins later and she took it all off
