I just hatched two more today from my banded x banded parents. The baby has a stripe on about 2/3 of its tail. The bands on the body are perfect. Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Here's two more from the same parents.

I've hatched 17 this year from this pair and most of the others have a normal pattern. Any thoughts?

Those are some nice babies, but I can't help as far as ever seeing it. I'm still a rookie in his first season...

I'm guessing that the parents are het albino x het albino? That first baby definately looks like an Alby! I haven't seen a tail like that (so different that it doesn't match the body); but does anyone know... does that qualify it as a jungle? I know that it's banded still, but the tail... AHH I hate babies like that! I never know what to call them!! Good Luck~

The father is a Giant Albino and the mother is a Giant het albino.

It's not that big of a deal since the Tremper line has been around for so many generations. it is not uncommon to hatch a few abberants and jungle/stripes out of normal appearing parents. The genes are obviously in there somewhere.
