So Max has these white bits on either side of his tongue, and I was wondering if anyone knew what it is. Sorry it's not hugely clear...

Like thin white lines, slightly raised.

And are they on his tongue or right next to it?

They're right next to it.
He's still eating fine, but he is getting ready to shed, so not sure if that has anything to do with it...

Then I have no guesses haha, sorry! Maybe that's just his mouth? I wouldn't worry much if he eats well and acts normal. Just check every once in awhile to make sure they don't change at all (get bigger, change color, etc)
