I'm about to buy some more mealworms and supers from Grubco.com and they have some mealies called mighty mealies, does anyone use them, or know if they are comparible to supers in size or nutrition?

I don't like them myself. They are basically just normal mealies treated with some chemical that causes them not to be able to pupate and grow to those abnormal proportions. As far as nutrition though, I've shopped with grubco before and they have a nutritional chart showing the "values" of all the products they sell, so I'd go back to the site and consult the nutri value chart.

But my problem with them was they were just too big to feed to several of my herps, and they didn't move very much either so my reps didn't like them. Just regulsr mealies and supers are what I like best, but that's just me.

I ordered large mealworms from grubco last winter and they sent the mighty ones. I didn't have a problem with them. But they were a little big and slow.
Last time I ordered from Grubco I ordered medium ones to make sure I didn't get the mighties.

Do a search for "giant mealworms" and you should find some past discussion on them. I prefer supers, they are way more active and not hormone treated.

I wouldnt feed them. Who knows what the chemicals could do internally. You'r better off just getting super worms or large meal worms.

Now that I know they are grown using chemicals, I'd never even consider using them!
