Appropiate size crickets?! Please Help!

Hey my names nathan and im pretty new on this whole forum thing..i have a few questions on the size of the cricket i decided to start feeding my leopard gecko .. heres a pik of both him and the cricket jus to give u an idea.. any advice would be great such as how many i should feed him and how often ...greatly appreciated =]

how does he look? age?

heres the size crickets ive decidded to feed him ..any suggestions?

he use to be ona schedule of about 5-6 in the am and 10-12 in the pm and those were small crickets... kinda expensive so i was wonderiong if i can go bigger and feed him less.. plz help thx =]

He looks to be around 7-8 months.Tough to tell from the pic I just feed my juveniles and young adults everyday and as much as they can eat

hey thx roger but i was wondering if i could start feeding him large crickets? and how many times do u feed them a day ? wat times?

It may be a little easier if we could see how big the crickets are compared to the Leo... If you could get a pic of them in the tank together and feed once a day til they are older than feed every other day or every two days depending on the individual gecko when they are an adult. Honestly just about everyone has their own different way of doing things... as long as he/she is healthy (not to fat or thin) and you are using appropriately sized feeders it should be alright.

Hey Leo gurl thx for tht tip I'll get the pik up later tonite during feeding time he ate two last night along with a few meal worms ..I have a bowl with mealies in It but I dnt want him to get full purely of mealies..any suggestions on tht ??

The general rule of thumb with feeders is nothing larger around (the circumference of the bug) than the space between your leo's eyes. This is to prevent possible choking. Also You could try super worms insted if you don't like the crickets. I hate the chirping and they stink imo. My leo (who is 10 mos old) usually eats 1-3 supers 3x a week. Also make sure you are regularly dusting your feeders with either an all in 1 suppliment or a good calcium and multi vitimin.
